You Said:

"My ISVA training didn’t prepare me to work with racialised people, it was standard and lacked depth.”

We Listened

We built the ISVA module, with intersectional, anti-racist and cultural competemility content into the core of our IDSVA training, making it a holistic package that addresses the diverse needs of survivors from all backgrounds closing gaps in professional understanding and access. Training now consists of 7 modules, 5 foundational IDVA, 1 ISVA and our Intersectional Risk Tracker Tool.

All About Our Training

Our training courses accredited by OCN London are designed exclusively for IDSVA practitioners, safeguarding professionals, domestic abuse advocates, support workers and managers. These courses are tailored to enrich your practical knowledge and enhance your capacity to provide optimal support to victims, survivors of domestic and sexual violence and abuse, and their children.

Learners are trained based on our 'Foundations of Practice', a unique approach that is trauma-informed, person-centred, and intersectional. This approach supports a comprehensive, whole-family methodology that emphasises perpetrator accountability while promoting safety to prevent re-traumatisation and secondary abuse of victims, survivors, children, and young people.

We are proud to deliver the only accredited Intersectional IDSVA training package, offering specialised risk assessment and advocacy frameworks and tools that equip professionals to deliver authentic, trauma-informed support.

Our training is rooted in our Social-Cultural Ecological Framework, which integrates intersectionality, anti-racism, and cultural competimility. This empowers practitioners to address not just the symptoms of domestic and sexual violence and abuse, but also the structures that uphold and perpetuate it.

Our courses are complemented by insights from various specialists across diverse fields, such as social work, psychology, psychotherapy, and academia.

The course comprises modules and guidelines on a range of pertinent topics, including:

We are proud to be the only Black and Black-Mixed heritage led by-and-for IDSVA training provider delivering genuine intersectional content. Our training is written by Black feminists scholars, activists and practitioners and informed by Black Feminist and Critical Race Theory while aligning with the OCN London learning objectives.
